  • Chinese made trailer

So some of you know I have been looking for a trailer, came across one at bunnings the other day and thought I would check them out. On their website that is. Prices looked good.

Sent my father over and he tells me they are chinese made.

Question is, would you go there? 1 yr warranty, galvanised, 8x5 with rear door as a ramp for $2200 or am I better getting an Aussie made trailer with rust protected paint instead for the same price?

I rather support Aussie made, but everyone tells me how trailers rust!

Let me know your thoughts, thanks

The Bunnings trailers are made by Trailers2000 in Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast. They've got an Aussie Made logo on the website. But I don't know if they're fully aussie made, or chinese manufactured and assembled here.

Oh sorry guys, I wasn't clear on my story.

I was at Bunnings on the weekend and saw a trailer parked on the road. Never heard of them before so I jumped online. Bunnings does not sell them.

I've been looking at getting a CT of late and exploring Al sorts of possibilities from a custom job to an off the floor model. There's plenty of Chinese trailers on the market these days. On the surface and at a distance, the look fine but get up close and start looking at the nitty gritty and things start to look a little sour. Suspect welds (cocky shit, blowouts etc), cables in locations that could easily lead to damage etc and over all very poor workmanship when compared to the local product. I definitely will not be buying a Chinese trailer.

Thats my issues, i can't pick up on these things as I don't inow much about welds and so on.

And like you said, there seems to be a few more floating around now. Will look into this more.
