Pressure Cleaner

I'm a bit new here and don't know where to put this

I'm after a pressure cleaner for general household duties eg washing the Playdo, decking, shade blinds, outdoor furniture, driveway, foot paths and anything else that stands still long enough (you listening dog :-)).

the Decking is elevated to the second story level so portability is important but I don't want a toy that will not be up to the job or break down etc

I bought my Karcher many years ago and still going strong, only ever had 1 problem with the foot switch that had to be repaired. Mine is one of the heavy duty units with metal parts in the motor, etc; some of the cheaper units have more plastic than metal.

Karcher for me too. Sprung a leak at the output pipe. Contacted the parts dealer in Belmont WA and they posted me the replacement part - FREE. Can't complain about that given the unit was 3 or 4 years old at the time.

+1 for Karcher. Make sure you get the metal parts job, not the plastic one.

I've had my Karcher for about 25 years. Only ever needed to replace the hose after 20 years.

I use a karcher but with 60 feet of driveway that I need to blast the mould off electric ones weren't cutting it for me. I now use their petrol one. It's got a honda engine in it and it's never let me down. Worth every penny for my needs. Difficult to haut up stairs but already comes with a 10 metre hose and you can get an extension so you could leave the unit downstairs and just take the wand up to the deck if you wanted. Careful on the desk though. I used it on the kids cubby house decking and it ripped into the timber till I turned it down.

I just have one called gerni, green n black in colour. Had it a few years now and works great. Did have karcher for about 10 years but got this on special 2000 psi works well. Cheers

Spitwater here too. I have a turbo 10-100. To be honest I never had any problems with the two Lavor pressure cleaners before that, one lasted 15 years but two then teenage sons who didn't know what duty cycle means killed both. The Spitwater is good gear but expensive.
