Hello fellow Prado owners. I'm a Newbie to forums and I don't very often have the time to come and chat on forums and i am not here to push my LED products i sell on Ebay and Gumtree either. I can't cope with sales already, so i don't need to do any more advertising :-)
I have come seeking answers for many problems selling H4 H/L beam globes to Toyota owners.
I have a 90 series Grande i put LED H4 Hi-Low beam globes in last year and had problems with them working, so an Auto Sparkey fitted a load resistor to them [after in installed LED spotlights too] and now they work fine. I was so happy with LED lights, i have now turned my passion into a Full-Time Business Importing and selling them and other Automotive LED Lighting products.
Generally, i sell 2 versions of load resistor. The Plug'nplay type and the ones you wire into [Scotch clips] to the positive and negative of the globe and pop-rivet to the inner guard. But they don't always work for some vehicles.
I had a customer call me today stating that the load resistors i sent him would not work on his 2006 Hilux with LED H4 H/L and the New LED spotlights he also put on. He stated that after he re-wired his Narva relay and had Positive run to #30 and #86 and then ran #87 to the switch and then back to 87 without an earth, they worked fine!
Bearing that in mind i have another customer with similar problems also with a 2007 Hilux, but no spotlights. What should i advise my buyer please? It is a regular problem and i wish to advise and maybe put a link, image on my sites to help my buyers.
Any positive information offered, i would be grateful for. Thank you
