HNL comes from the Japanese for Secure Fastfood Here .... a common label in Yuppie Japanese vehicles which have a cup holder for every passenger and an in-dash GPS unit preloaded with coffee shops and drive thru outlets.

ummmm, I think most of the people mentioned in that article is people who live in cities. 95% of people in Australia live in cities. Due to the fact that people who can afford a 4wd car live in a city, want to also escape the city. The findings in that research only reflect the current lifestyle. If it was conducted 20 years ago, they would get a lot different results. There is a lot more money floating about these days, However, that is about to change soon.........
On the news last night they said the price of diesel could be as dear as $2 per litre by December. ...... expensive drive for a coffee eh....

20 years ago you wouldn't have been sitting at a computer chatting about 4WD's.

Now you can sip a latte and chat.

I reckon the article is about right.

I like getting away for a few nights but I find it hard to drive through a major town without a quick stop for a flat white - or if the kids a with me - a McSomethingarother.

Yep, spent over $200 bucks on fuel yesterday and the tank wasn't even empty. $1.81 for diesel in Orange NSW.
