  • How to fit new MSA Spare Wheel Storage BAg

    Hi all,

I’ve just bought an MSA rear wheel storage bag and fitted it to the spare for trip on the weekend. I’m a bit concerned I haven’t strapped it correctly though, as I’ve read on the MSA website it has some unique anti-drop harness system. I noted the three straps, I have 2 crossed over each other at the back and clipped on but not sure how the third works? Presumably it forms the anti-drop system, but not sure how to correctly fit it. Any help/pics greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

The third strap can be routed behind the tyre from the top right, then down and around the wheel mounting bracket, then back up to the top left where you clip it into the buckle provided. Easy.

OK that was logical if I’d stopped to think about it! Thanks Dave, much appreciated.

I bought a new one myself when in Tassie for the GTG. Be warned, possums can unzip the bag and climb inside to eat your rubbish.

Sounds like a couple of feral kids I met at a campground a few weeks back

We took the bag for its first outing over the weekend, very happy. No possums, but it foiled a goanna!

Be very careful with the "possum" comment.

Great to see the support being shown for the sponsors of the Tasmania GTG 2015.

I still have the (sore) scar on my left middle finger to prove it.
