I'm getting my radio and stubbie ariel through them next week. Have heard a few good stories about them and had a good talk with them the other week.

Hey Samo, I have a GME AE4702 aerial on my beast. It's also a 4.5 dB, its just a bit shorted and thinner (not a fat B&S style footy post)

$122- from Prestige Communications, were I usually get my stuff from. Last order only took 2 days from perth. (postage not included)

I went for the AE4705 aerial on mine from Lake Comm and so far it has been brilliant. The only problem I have is that I hit a bird and the external fibreglass has cracked and flaked away near the top of the aerial so don't know how long it will last from now on. Next time round I will buy the military spec for around $100 extra (I think) as it is virtually unbreakable.

Thats the one Ive got, and yes it is breakable. Wedged it under the garage door and snaped it just above the top coil, Ive even got a big ding in the bonnet to prove it. It didnt break easily but when it did it had some force in it, put a dent in the bonnet and flow 15m up the drive & across the road.

They are a great aerial and are as stong as they get. I brought another one.

How does the 4703 go on corrugations? I want to mount another antenna (mobile phone) within 20cm of it and don't fancy them smashing together
