Center diff lock dash light

I may be going mad. Buy I could swear that the Center diff lock dash light was either flashing green or constant green when engaged.
Went out 4wdriving today and it was orange,
Can someone put me out of my misery please, has light always been orange or is it trying to tell me something?
I have checked the hand book but it only talks about the light not working and not the colour.

it's a 2008 120 series grande

The light is orange and illuminates when you select HL or LL with the transfer lever.
