I've had this on the last couple of my new 4x4 chassis, as has been said I think it's fairly normal. I just cleaned it up as best I could and hit it with some chassis black.. all good.2016 Toyota Prado GXL auto. I spot sprayed all 'rust' looking spots on the welds when new with flat black rust converter and it has survived several beach trips including Fraser several times and looks like new when cleaned. I also pissed off the factory bash plate and touch the ARB one up with matching cold gal every six months.
