One Quiet Day On Pradopoint

This must be one of the quietest 24 hours I have seen on Pradopoint, have we all gone on holidays or something? Maybe the majority are off to see the Pope.

Well that explains it then, most of the forum are down there installing a lift kit, bullbar, winch, spotties and a snorkel. :lol: :lol: I gues it is a Praydo mobile. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I just picked up my brand spanka Prado yesterday and then came down to the Gold Coast to visit my Dad.

So today and tonight I have been chasing up and buying or getting together some of the products and gadgets that I had put on my wish list after spending the previous 9 months reading and learining about stuff on PRADOpoint. :wink:

First job - try and swap the grandtreks for other tyres - no luck as the tyre joints I went to all said they already have a stock (at least 9 sets at one place) of 2nd hand "brand new" grand treks that other prado buyers had traded for other tures. :shock: :roll:

Second job - The Toyota salesman warned me of the consequences ($$$$$) if I lost the keys to the Prado :roll: so I sussed out getting a set of spare keys with the transponder thingos in them from EBay. That way I can leave one key at my Dad's place in case I lose all of mine. Had to actually register for Ebay and that Paypal thingo. :?

Third job - Order one of those Stebel Airhorns. :twisted:

Fourth Job - sus out spotties and better globes (HID I spose?) for the headlights.

Fifth Job (not prado related) - help my Dad install a reversing camera on his troopie.

Sixth Job - Wash and vacume the old 4 runner in the hope that I can flog it off and get some moula to spend on a bull bar and snorkel.

Seventh Job - make sure there is actually a filter in the aircon fliter holder under the glove box.

Ha I've been too bloody busy to even drive the new car today!! - besides I didnt want to run up any more KM's in case I can trade the grandtreks.

Meant to mention that the details in the above post are the reasons why I was absent from PRADOPoint today.

I imagine that due to the "unscheduled service disruption " (Spin for Major Debacle and F**k Up) to the Optus network caused by someone on the Gold Coast putting a digger through a cable - that just about anyone on the Eastern Seaboard that doesn't use telstra or bigpond would have had major dramas connecting to the net today. OPtus and all the other providers that use the Optus network were off the grid today - this caused major disruptions to Qld today. Many businesses had no phones or eftpos facilities. Hence Many Queensland Pradopointers would have been unable to log on to the site.

Actually - my credit card statement for July showing expenditure on various items and gadgets on the 15th of July :lol: will vouch for and verify my whereabouts. :roll:

Lashed out more cash on headlight and bonnet protectors and one of those rear dust deflector thingos today... Was a great feeling to hang in my Dad's garage and fit them, sorta a sense of achievment - finally having the long dreamt of and awaited vehicle to actually spend time on and in.

Unfortunately for those that work for my company "EDS" this site now comes up as a chatroom & is now blocked. So now the lunch time lurking has now stopped.
Just have to try step up the access at night.... Weekends are for travelling... :lol:
