I recently bought a Prado 96, dual fuel, converted on 2005 with Sprint-C system. Since I bought this car it suffers of LPG issues. The car backfires very often, switches off on idle, or when steering fully on idle. Last week I've installed new non-resister spark plugs and ICE 5mm spiral leads, and cleaned the mixing valve. I cannot explain the new behavior, but after the last installation the system changes over between gas and petrol rapidly (every few seconds) , specially when idle (low rev). The electronic control system in the car ticking during this operation.
I tried to tune the idle screw, and the one in the middle of the gas hose, but it doesn't seem to change anything.
I 'll be happy if someone can advise me with the reason for the switch-over, and what component of the system is faulty.
