  • Who makes this Rear Bar

Apologies if this in the wrong place, I know it's about a 90 series modification, but my questions is more a general one.

Does anyone know who makes this rear bar?

To me it looks like an ARB job, but I couldn't find any ARB stickers on it, nor could I find any reference on the web to ARB making a rear bar for a 90 series. I personally think it is one of the neatest rear bars I have seen, and would be very interested to find out if whoever made this one, makes them for the 120's.

Definitely a very professional job, using some professional equipment, and not just a backyard shed. I would love to know who made it.

wow, nice looking bar. that has to be a custom job. can you get bigger closer pics?

The lights are very similar to the new ARB bars........
But there is no mention on their site of a new bar for the 90....... maybe a prototype?

possibly a custom job but utilising kaymar wheel arms (or whatever theyre called) and locking mechanism. the arb wheel holders have that slam-shut design rather than the latch design seen in these pics.

Re: Who makes this Rear Bar

I posted this reply a couple of minutes ago but it didn't work, so if it posts twice, sorry!!

For some reason my phone took low res pics, don't know why.

I just googled the address where I saw the car, got the phone number for the business and rang them. I assumed it was a customers car, but thought it worth a try. In Luck!! the owner works there, and I spoke to him, so now I can answer my own question.

It is a Kaymar Rear Swing arm off a 76 series that was taken to PJ Metals at Hemant and modified to suit the 90. It cost the guy about $4k all up (ouch!!) He is going to take some better photos in the coming days and email them to me. I will post them up once I get them.

Definitely a good advertisement for PJ Metals though, never heard of them before, but will definitely keep them in mind for the future.

Now to identify which bar suits the 120 series and see if there's someone in Perth who can modify it

It is a good looking bar...I wish I had the time and shop to do one in. At $4K for the work It would never fly with the minster even though it is her rig.
