    Advanced Google search of Pradopoint.com

    Hiyas,

    When you really need to find some information on Pradopoint.com and the native phpbb site search (top right of page) isnt really helping you out, you can use a google search that is confined to this site only.

    http://www.google.com.au/advanced_searc ... &tbs=prv:1

    it has a good combination of search settings with keywords, phrases and date filters.

    I have also set that link to use the preview setting, this shows more text of the opening post. (and a screenshot of the webpage that you cant really see)

    great search engine to use if our search cant help you..

    That is useful stuff Matt - a handy URL to be bookmarked.

    Google is especially needed when narrowing searches down with 3-letter terms, e.g. ARB or TJM. Our PP Advanced Search seems to ignore words of three-letters or less.

    And for the power-users of google... remember, you can enter your regular google search terms and then simply add one more search term to narrow it to a specific site:

    E.g. in the google search box try:

    Or if you just want to read articles from Australian web-sites:

        Bump this up for a few newbies to read.

        Also I am a big fan of doing a manual search when looking for answers.

        At the top of each section, rig build... 120 electrical dtc etc, there are titles across the top, click on the appropriate one and threads can be listed by number of views, start time, number of posts etc etc.

        Number of views, and number of replies is often a good place to find threads with the most info in them, just make sure you adjust your setting to show thread "from the beggining"

        BTW, I found this thread by typing search into the advanced search engine looking for thread titles, yep if you search for how to search you will find the answer
