HI ALL.Not as bad as it sounds,just finished building large steel battery box to house 2 deep cycle batteries which sits behind curb side mud guard looks great all wired in power sockets front and back great but just noticed the other day trailer is drooping on that side with the extra 60kg,s I wasn,t thinking about. ops: My first thoughts are to put another leaf in it why not any thoughts on this one.CHEERS TINKERA.

to fix the droop they have a little blue tablet :lol: extra leaf will fix it up, how much is it sitting down ?. cheers samo

HI SAMO ha ha.Already tried that just made the spring longer and firmer but I know that won,t last :twisted: .Yeah probably saging 20-25mm at a guess looks worse than it is but I have a thing about things like that. :evil: CHEERS TINKERA

Put two more batteries on the other side :shock: or can you just put one battery on both sides?

If you're happy with the battery location and it has been a whiles since the trailer suspension has seen some attention then I would look at getting the springs reset to suit the weight distribution. Doesn't normally cost too much to get it done professionally. The will repack the leaves and paint them up all nice and pretty and the whole lot will work a treat.

My mate just had the leaves on his LC ute reset for under $300 for the four springs. He even got the back ones modded for the extra gear that he carries in the back.

HI Bushbasher yeah won,t be changing the batteries there 2x 6v but I have a mate turning me an axle out of 4140 :twisted: should be ready this week. Will have a look at the springs and see what can be done.The difference from tire to guard RH to LH is 25mm.CHEERS ALL TINKERA.

If your trailer is new/springs in good nick then an alternative solution is air assist bags which are available for leaf springs. This would give you versatility if you carry differing loads. Same deal as air bags for rear coil springs in your vehicle.

If your tight fisted you could get away with an extended shackle, or if you have a spring over axle and your U bolts are long enough a packer between the axle and spring.
