I have a 2012 Prado 150 GXL Diesel. I am wanting to upgrade to a bigger caravan and was wanting to know how I would go towing a van around 2300kgs

My 2008 120 didn't mind towing my 2200 kg caravan and FIL's boat of about the same... as mentioned, it's a 2.5t rating so technically is no issue.
Cheers, Leon
There's no such thing as a wrong turn... it's just the scenic route!

Keep an eye on Ball Weight, suggest a visit to a weighbridge once loaded for a trip as it wouldn't be hard to get up or over 250kgs.Cheers
Micheal.

I occassionally use my prado to tow a double horse float (horse weight approx. 500-600kg each). You know it's there, but it never feels dangerous as it can do in a smaller car (my sisters triton doesn't feel great towing the same payload). The prado probably is a little underpowered for a true tow tug (Why couldn't we have 500NM out of that D4D Toyota!) but it'll do the job, just with a bit of extra prodding up hills.
