Bit Map - http://nixanz.com/ios/bitmap/ is a pretty good GPS platform. It allows you to use the inbuilt GPS to locate yourself on OziExplorer maps, no reception required - cost is about $5.00 but you have to get your own copies of OziExplorer maps. I also use Headway from the same company. It allows you to mark a waypoint and then provides you with an arrow pointing to the waypoint - can be fairly useful.

Hey.. we don't all have iPhones.
Good android apps:
*Fuel log* Records your fuel consumption, repair/service costs. Whatever you spend actually
*Speed view* GPS speedo cos Prado speedos suck and can put on dash with HUD and turn dash lights right down. Great for long dist travel at night.
*Clinometer* Pitch, yaw and compass
*Drive safe* Reads out txt messages. (Turn off if mother in car)Last edited by Rob L; 17-03-2012, 10:22 PM.2010 GXL D-4D: "TO INFINITY AND BEYOND"...... What?? Yeah, yeah. After I've done the mowing....
2" Outback Armour lift, dual battery, TJM bar, Winch, Fyrlyt spotties, Snorkel, Hancook RT03's or Pirelli Scorpions (depends on what I'm Doing), roof rack/awning/lights/water tank, multiple scratches and one small dent in bonnet (tie kayak down next time)

Anyone using WAZE - GPS map in Social Media level? Its free for download, I am using it in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. In Singapore, you can have real time infor from front vehicle like road work, accident, traffic jam etc.
Also, anyone who knows any walkie talkie app which can be used on 3G and wifi? There are a couple using wifi only.
Thanks.

Yes, Metroview is good for Oz, it's what the RAC uses and it has good coverage of speed cameras etc - the advantage of TomTom is it's free if you don't need the traffic updates and, if you pay, you can get traffic updates if you want them (saved me from some massive jams on a couple of occasions).2009 Prado 150 D4D GXL with 265/70R17 Cooper AT/3 tyres, Max Trax, HR tow bar, Airtec snorkel, UHF and the usual recovery gear.
