Sorry fiddo, no the cf (which they have brought back into circulation)
I was very close to buying one, but about 5 years ago when these were the ones being sold, and heard nothing but bad reports. Maybe they've changed the electronics?

I think the cf range was ok, I know dozens of people with cf50, don't know one person that has has problems with that model.
      They have the danfoss.
there are some cheaper waecos that are nothing but trouble.
The cfx range is on trial, time will tell.

There is a good reason why they would bring the cf range back.
I'd only guess what it is.

Yea it's funny eh, must be the luck of the draw. But yea heaps of people that I've spoken to will never go back to weaco after their experiences. Was only just speaking to a person 2 days ago when my missus and I were discussing how I shouldn't buy a fridge... Lol and a lady piped up and said never buy cf weaco as they had one and have had nothing but dramas... From what I remember it was the circuit boards that kept going in them. But again, they could have fixed this issue. My guess is they've Ben brought back to be some competition against ironman and the like

I'm friendy with some store managers of rays & Bcf etc & if you ask them what comes back, they say its easier to say what doesn't come back, since using both Waeco & engel & having that feedback I'm engel. Not to say they never fail, but I think they are very good.

Yea very true in that aspect, we used engel fridges in our armoured vehicles in the military, these things copped a flogging and just kept on working.

I have the new CFX50 and was supprised by how low I had to put the Thermastat down to -4 to get it cold. But it did not take long to get there, and seems to work very well apart from that.I will be supprised if it is still working as well as my Engle after 20 years of abuse.
the reason I purchased the Waco over a new Engle, was a price issue.I still have my Engle if the Waco gives up the ghost.

Everyone seems to agree, with the Waeco, you need to set it a few degrees lower to get the real temp.
I notice the engel uses more juice & compressor is running more, but is much colder & get things cod much faster.
If I put something not cold on top of a full Waeco it takes forever to get cold.
Same test with the engel & it's very cold very fast.
It must be the way the evaporater goes all the way up the side walls & & runs to genuine temps.

Engels are cheap now, eclipse $799 & you can get them on special. Same compressor as dearer metal dint-able boxes.

Didn't think of the temp gauge on the day or my existing credit just now, would have made it just a bit over $38. Never mind, I'm sure I can find something else at Ray's to spend the credit on.
Technically it would be over 40% because you could spend your credit & get 40% that etc etc lol......

Rang Waeco today and they reckon it's normal.
