I was going to make up a ply false floor using the rear rubber mat as the template, carpet it and fix it on to 6 points (3 per side) using rhino rack channel nuts in the vx rear rail and bolt through the ply. Then screw the fridge slide to the carpet base. You might need 12mm marine grade ply to get the thickness so that you can tech screw into this without hitting the oe seat top cover. That was until I decided to put in my draws.
My thought with the base was it would be easy to remove, strong enough to support my 50l Waeco and not stick out like a sore thumb as it would be carpeted. Hope that gives you some ideas Trev.

Thanks Dan - food for thought.

I have the canvas cover also, and the velcro.. yep, it doesn't stick.
But reading the posts that is the only problem.
So I guess its a pretty good fridge, just a crappy cover.
I like it, its our IN-CAR fridge, we have a 32Lt Engel that is now our IN-CAMPER freezer. Perfect combo... for us.

Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.
