    Hi Sean,
My 07 D4D manual is going well its only done 47,000kms, the issues have been; 3rd gear Syncro,s are a bit slow I live with it OK., the engine has a cold start rattle which is still present even after a Toyota ECU reflash! but toyota seem to think it is OK. The clutch has been an issue with a few members but mine is still hanging in OK as it should. I bleed the clutch every 20,000kms it seems to make difference as it did on previous manual hiluxes I have owned. MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER LOCATED BETWEEN THE FUEL TANKS UP BEHIND THE TAILSHAFT IT IS THE REGULARLY SERVICABLE FUEL FILTER NOT THE ONE UNDER THE BONNET a. it is a bit of bugger to change, b. many of the old school mechanics think that the filter water separtor under the bonnet is the one to change at regular intervals, not knocking old school mehanics by the way. OEM sov. bullbar mounting brackets are a current issue so check with your Toyota Dealer. Dust ingress into the rear compartment is an issue mainly due to incorrect sealing of the rear rubber wiring grommets at the base of the rear quarter compartments during trailor/ mod wiring installations. A few members have had cracking of inner panels in the engine bay in way off second/ accessory battery installations. Headlight low beam is pretty ordinary (poor). Chaffing of rear door paintwork by the spare tyre is an issue you will see a few threads on fitting PTFE/ alloy spacers if you search. Dashboard cracking is an issue with older vehicles but mine is OK. If you get mysterious water leaks into front footwells after heavy rain check the roof-rail seals. If your AC sudenly stops working check for AC compressor operation ie. the compressor is clutched in and rotating when the AC button is depressed if not check the AC relay in the engine bay it could save you a big $$$ repair bill for tracing a simple fault. Sheared wheel studs on wheel axle flanges is rearing its ugly head again, ensure that rattle guns are not used to do the final tension on your wheel nuts, use a tension wrench and torque to recommended specs. The tailshaft clunk when vehicle first rolls to a stop, has also been an issue for some members mine OK. make sure the tailshaft slip joint is not overgreased. Check for oil leaks in way of the transfercase rear oil seal.
I could go on but you will find that many of the issues are covered on this site, Welcome to Pradopoint and congratulations on purchasing a great truck
