Mates,
Here is a thread to post up the little things you did on your rig to save threads from being started for those mundane little mods. A few simple rules, but don't even really need to be followed.
1) Post pictures, so we can drool.
2) Post links on where to buy any parts.
3) Post simple directions or any problems encountered to let others know how to avoid them.
4) Post up banana's! (OK it's a little juvenile, so feel free to use hammers). On a scale of 1-5 hammers how much work was involved? One is easy, three requires some skill, and 5 is for the weekend mechanic. If anything that was installed by ARB please let us know why you let them do it and if it capable of. Add how much time was involved and how much golden amber fluid was consumed.
OK let me start.
This weekend I installed a Topo power panel from 12-Volt World for $150 (AD). I took off a rear panel and cut a hole in the back for the components and wired directly to the secondary fuse panel off of the battery, ran the cable to the unit, and grounded. I give it 1 of 5 hammers and it took about an hour. Most of the time was cutting out the plastic panel to make it fit. I didn't include the trip to Home Depot (Bunning's) for the mounting hardware.
Oh, and problems......measure twice and cut once.....my mistake.
Cheers,
-Ben
