  • Anyone used Litestorm LED Driving Lights?

Looking at some driving lights for my 150 but not sure what way to go. I already have 50w HID low and high beam so whatever driving lights I go for I want to have a pretty decent punch. Most of the HID spotlights Ive looked at only come in 35w, and the rare 50w ones are close to $1000for a set.

I started looking around and saw a link in the advertising section here for Litestorm LED products, while pricey they dont suffer from warm up times, blown globes, large amounts of heat, need for ballasts, etc. Plus a single unit often puts out more light that 2 50w HID's, so im pretty interested. A google on the net doesnt show many hits for Litestorm so I guess they are pretty new on the market without a large customer base.

So im just curious to see if anyone has tried these or any other LED driving light setups?

I looked at Litestorm LED Light bars, but seems you need to run a 24v converter to get the full output of the light.

I think the latest ones all come with the converter built in now....from what Ive read.

I have experienced LED driving lights, and they are great for short distance, but not for long distance, this is where HID come in as the light is more intence and can be focused (depending on set up, ie: spot, Spread or Combo Beam by the manufacturer), as I understand LED are more focussed on Spread beam, however they are more versitile in the way a manufacturer can shape the unit, so they can be put in places a normal light can not fit. They are perfect for the rear of the vehicle for reversing at night when 4wding.
