To cut the story short, a certain workshop has done a 2nd batt install on my car and in the process damaged one of the body panels (they used a screw driver to open the back plastic panel) by pushing it out.
I washed the car 2 weeks prior to the install and i was sure that there was no damage done, so sure enough when I noticed it I went back. At that time I said, look it doesn't bother me a lot I only want you to pay for it if it starts to rust. However for at least a week they kept on denying it until today when one of the fellas accidently admitted to it. What pisses me right off is, why can't the workshops own up to their f@rk ups? Because of the running around they gave me I'm going to get it fixed regardless whether it rusts or not and now I won't go back to them for any further work. Have they done the right thing in the first place I'd gladly return to them for future work as everyone makes mistakes.
On a dimple of around 5mm in diameter and some cracked paint, what's the correct panel/paint procedure? Sand it down and paint the whole pannel (the one just underneath the driver's side back side window)?
