  • CT Floor protection?

    Hi all,
I searched but couldn't find an answer...
A simple question but I have a soft floor CT (bought 2nd hand just before last years GTG) and was wondering what people find is best to use inside the floor area of the CT (not the annex area)?

Simple marine carpet or is there a more pliable but still strong alternative?
    Cheers, Leon

We used some 'annexe matting' we got as an offcut from Tambo. You can also get it from Clark Rubber. It's kind or rubbery with holes in it to let crap through.

I run a sheet of the proper shade-cloth type material under the tent section (to protect the grass) and have a square piece of carpet remnant that I got from the carpet shop for about $20. It folds easily and stows on top of the tent section when travelling. It's a beige/brown colour so hides the dirt easily. Low pile so the bindis and other prickles don't stick to it.

Thanks for the feedback guys... I'll have to check those options out.The matting sure looks like it'll stow a lot easier than marine carpet.

          Hi Snaga

We use ribbed marine carpet square for inside area...cut to fit the whole area. Makes it easier to clean when you pack up (just remove and shake out) Storage is easy.. just fold in half and throw on top of the bed before you close camper.

Outside area under awning is a square of shade cloth..works a treat.

          cheers
