Anti Theft GPS Tracking

Hi,

Is anyone here using a GPS tracking device as a theft deterent? I've done a forum search and came up with nothing.

Any advice would be appreciated, the more mods I do the more vehicle theft is worrying me.

I have no experience with GPS tracking devices but if you had a cheap android phone with GPS, you could hide it under the dash, wire up permanent power to it and use androidlost.com to control and locate it. You can get cheap data plans from TPG for $1/month for 50MB.

You can get a under bonnet black box with a gsm sim on a data only plan. Lots of courier companies use them to track the vans. Software is then used to monitor the location. If you have an idrone or android phone they do have track me software also and use gsm to publish their location
