  • garmin GLO use with iPad mini wifi only?

hi lads i was wondering if any one has used or knows about using an external gps receiver with an i pad mini wifi only. Silly mistake when i purchased the iPad for my mrs as a christmas present without knowing it wouldn't work as a offline gps. I've always used the hema and mud map apps on all iPhones and thought i could do the same on iPad..

if any one could shed light on the garmin GLO or knows a better one that would be marvellous
    cheers

Have that exact combo, works great, use it with Hema and TomTom with a RAM mount on windshield. Battery lasts a day of driving, charge overnight and all good for next day.

Think it was Johnny Appleseed, usually sit it on the dash, doesn't move much with its antiskid base unless your travelling at speed and miss a washout or pothole, sometimes sits in the cup holder if I forget to charge it, seems to work fine there, just takes bit longer (maybe 10-20secs) to lock on compared to sitting on dash.

Think it a Belkin dual USB (without looking) 10w and 5 w, use this on iphone/ipad keeps them charged and charges slowly, also have one of those cup socket outlets with another dual USB and dual cig sockets. So can charge the GPS and another phone at same time. I know too many gadgets, simply not enough outlets for me!
