So... I thought I would post some new photos.

I also had some black widow drawers installed and put my 60L ARB fridge on an inbuilt fridge slide. I had to shift the cargo barrier about 20mm forwards but black widow made up some new brackets for me so was not problem.

Had a roof console installed also to hold my radios, fits two GME 3520 radios, and has provision for a Barrett 2050 when the time comes.

Got to test the maxtrax out for the first time on fraser island, after getting bogged to above the chassis, passenger sidestep was under sand... don't ask. No pictures sadly. Except of the maxtrax aftermath.

I also just picked this up the other day... I belive its a '63 body, but no compliance plates so making it hard to determine as there were so many variations back then. But there is a few mis matched parts on it thought making it even harder.

I've also just ordered a scan gauge in the hope I will then know how much fuel I have left in a tank.

And I seem to have misplaced that stebel horn so it is still not installed.

        Looks great Wooley.

I like the radio console. Does it cause a blind spot when you look out the passanger window?

No it sits well out of the way. I wanted it as low profile as possible and that's exactly what I got. The shape of the roof really lends itself to a console that isn't obtrusive.

            Hi Wooley
            Liking the build up mate.
The roof console looks great. The ones that utilise the OEM map lights and sun glass holders get my vote.

I was trying to make out the printing on the Maxtrax that says "No Wheel Spin" but I guess that got scorched hey?
At least they got you out.

            Cheers

                Thanks, Troy.

I had to keep the map light/sunglasses holder. I wanted a factory look and I don't think it's too far off.

The maxtrax did an excellent job, i'd use them a bit differently next time. But I was pretty bogged so can't complain too much. A bit more digging would have helped too.

You've been spending too much time in Cue, Dave... Using words like magenta.

Magenta, a bright pinkish purple color, is a color evoked by lights with less power in green wavelengths than in blue and red wavelengths (complements of magenta have wavelength 500–530 nm).[1] In light experiments, magenta can be produced by removing the lime-green wavelengths from white light. It is an extra-spectral color, meaning it cannot be generated by a single wavelength of light, being a mixture of red and blue wavelengths. The name magenta comes from the dye magenta, commonly called fuchsine, discovered shortly after the 1859 Battle of Magenta near Magenta, Italy.

Still didn't answer if it is a "his" and "hers" uhf combo?

                          Hey Woooley

Totaly agree about the Roof profile lending itself to a Console. Been looking at these for a while, and this is the first picture of one that I liked the look of the finish, is it a "Dept of Interiors" one mate, and did you fit it yourself or have someone sort it for you? Also, did you run the wiring up the "A" Pillar, and how much of a drama was it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Dave, dont think using those techincal words light wavelength etc you have distracted us from the real issue here - the radios are a funny purple and funny blue colour, lets keep to the basic, manly, colours thanks and add funny/light/dark at the start for the variations.

p.s looking good wooley and yes I was jealous following you through town after the goolwa catch-up, those two shark rods on the front look good!

                                Guys,

I only know the Magenta colour from my P3 electronic brake controller. The definition is from a google search. Lets get things correct, the colours are blue, and something else, which is not so manly.
It could be Wooley getting in touch with his feminine side......
