  • my 120 rig 2004 gxl

this is my prado that i recently swapped for a d40 navara. ive always been a die hard nissan patrol fan but have decided to build up somthing to take the whole family touring so i got the d40 and it was stock as a rock and i need of alot of dollars to get it to the stage i wanted it at so when i seen this thing was for sale as old mate was after a ute i jumped at it as it was 90% of the way to being the ultimate tourer.

mods that i can think of:

4 inch lift that consits of dobinsons rear coils and SRC dual canister shocks and coil overs
285 mtz's on xd series alloys
    dual batteries
    HID headlights
    aftermarket tail lights
    fatz fab rear bar
xrox front bar with xray spotties
safari snorkel (hopefully stainless steel soon)
    roof rack and awning
    dvd gps head unit
    outback drawers and cargo barrier
    diff breather kit
    LED rear work/reverse light

    probably more iv forgotten

                  Awesome!

Certainly looks familiar. I think a pic of it was posted previously under a thread about running 33in tyres.

Has had a few things added by the looks of it - rear bar & rims just to name a few.

Snug up against the sills is NOT good. I had to correct this after mine rubbed very annoyingly when driving on bitumen. (thats the annoying black stuff that ruins a good road trip. Your Prado needs to be able to flex and flex it will if you take it off road. That is why the arb bars have a gap and why anything fixed to the frame needs to have a gap to anything above the frame, especially if it can break.

                              mlc

PS AJ120 rock sliders are therefore HIGHLY recommended and that is before considering the fact they are cheaper than identical ones that do not fit as well.
