Gday Pradopoint members,
I'm new to this forum and to Prado's, I have just sold my 2008 SR5 TD Hilux which I owned from new and was a great vehicle, 175k on the clock when sold and never a problem, I have just stepped into a 2013 Prado Altitude (with towbar, bonnet, headlight protection and weathershields) from my local central coast dealer in Charcoal, what a great vehicle. I had no idea this forum existed and have been busy trolling over the thousands of threads which have only made me more excited about my Prado journey, you guys have some awesome vehicles and even better stories!!!!! So here goes with the start of my Prado journey........
First mod, I drove from the dealers straight to the tyre store and had a set 265/70/17 Cooper ST Maxx fitted (got a good trade on the bridgies too), I do quite a bit of freeway driving and the first 1000km have been great, noise is minimal and handles well.
Next modification for my 150 is a visit to ARB Penrith tomorrow to have a Safari snorkel and an ARB aluminium roof rack/basket fitted.
I will post some pics soon and can't wait to keep track of the all the touring/trail ready rigs on this great platform that Pradopoint.
