    Re: David's 2009 TD Prado

What Compressor did you end up getting? Picked up the ARB High Output On Board jobbie today and had to study the wiring diagram pretty closely. After a double coffee I got it figured. Putting it in the second battery space behind the headlights on drivers side. Hopefully I can fit a mattress inflator fitting onto it as well, damn coleman mattress pump isn't exactly the quietest in the world. It's also the pump ARB uses for air lockers too so Damn it I guess they'll come soon.....ish..... Seems like a decent enough little unit.

I allready had the compressor, it is the ARB old type, I will upgrade when I need it for the comp rig, I am mounting the winch controller box behind the drivers headlight, so I hope I can fit the compressor there as well, or I will have to mount under the seat. when are you installing it??

        Re: David's 2008TD Prado

Well, I had the idea of putting in a mid range-ish battery tray in that spot as sort of a mounting platform for extra stuff. Then I can just drill it as needed to mount any extra goodies I might want to stick there as the compressor won't use all the space. So I ordered one from ARB, "Bushman" or something I think they called it, which'll take a week to arrive. So I'll see how all that turns out, crash and burn or mediocre success. Then there's the HID kit on order for the Lightforce Blitz's which I also have coming. So ..... I dunno. Next few weeks I hope. Free time can be a bit difficult to come by these days :? :? :?

          Re: David's 2008TD Prado

I have not done much else lately, hooked up reversing camera, thanks to all the feedback that made it a bit easier, connected up digital TV, only can get SBS in driveway. Fitted UHF under plastic behind steering wheel. Bought a new winch cheep winch to replace warn (warn to be used on other 4x4). Still to fit.

Thinking about what seat covers to use as the fabric allready has sall stain from daughter on it, so thinking of factory ones.

I have bought a new ARB compressor to fit, but not sure where as I want to use drivers side from for winch controller box.

have out Ozzie explorer on but need time to figure how to use it.

HID upgrade in IPF's are good, used the 55W ones, take a bit to warm up but they are bright, too brite for general use. Want to use the ARB type light switch but not sure which pin does what on back (I think the switch looks better and will go with the compressor switch

I will put more pics up when finished over christmas

Still need to add in more 12volt plugs in the back

There is a thread over in the 120 Electrical area with details about the standard pin layout for the ARB Carling Switches. The thread is called Spotlight Switch

The following is a direct link to the post I put up about using one of these for my IPF spotties instead of the IPF Mouse. It shows the pin layout which I assume you are after. You also mention you have an ARB Compressor. Not sure if that was fixed or portable but if it's the fixed one then that has the details of the pin layout in the installation guide:

              Hi Nick,

Thanks for that, I never thought to look for it here, but you saved me the trouble, I will now use it when I get home from the US.
              Regards,

Just remember that that schematic is to suit one type of the Carling switch and that is those being sold by ARB. If you buy through a TotalSource distrubuter then the following like might help you:
                          http://www.totalsource.com.au/pdfs/S...hes_200907.pdf
And if that dosn't help you then on the Carling site you find another one but you need to know which ciruit you have (or you can work it out easily):
                          http://www.carlingtech.com/pdf/v_ser...ircuitdiag.pdf
You can use the switch guide to help work it out as well:

Just had the tyres fitted today, decided to go with the BFG KM2 mud terrain in 265 70 17. Carn't wait to try them out.

Still have to buy a spare when the next shipment arrives.

Not sure what I will do next, maybe ease off for a while

                            Pics below.

Just fitted arb roof awning, decided to attach it to the roof cage
Had rear bar re painted and fixed the damage done 4 wheel driven at rydal
now with pics, attached the arb awning to the rola cage, had to fabricate some braskets up from checker plate as per pic.

just have to continue to remind the wife about low clearance carparks

Also at last had the front windows tinted.
