  • Qservs ride.

Well Ive been meaning to post up a ride thread for some time now so i thought i better get around to it.

We have had this truck about a year and a half now, but its been in our family since new and its the wifes car, her choice to get it (i wanted another land rover).... Anyway,.. it was completly stock when we got it but a few things have changed on it now, being a bit of a back yard mechanic ive done all the work to it myself, besides swapping the dump pipe, just couldnt get my hands in there.... anyway this is it.

OME 2in lift with nitrocharger sports shocks and poly airs
    265-70-17 Maxxis Big horns
    D-tronic chip

ARB Sahara bar(Ironman 12000 pound winch yet to go in)

    Re: Qservs ride.

Heres some from a stockton beach trip with the land rover owners forum, thanks to having alot more beach driving experience i was able to show up the v8 land rovers on the day

And a few weeks back, pulling a friends completely dead range rover off stockton, had to tow them all the way from near the shore line and out off lavis, i didnt think it would do it but i got there with little trouble at all...

                      Re: Qservs ride.

Well it survived the 2 weeks on fraser and i really did give it a hard time, the only real issue (aside from its usual thirst for diesel) was some starter motor problems after doing alot of creek crossings, it gets this after any water crossings, a bit of WD fixes it right up... it performed quite well otherwise, i was impressed being that i have never been a fan of its offroad abilities especially in the sand... i was also very impressed with the maxxis bighorns, they seem to have made a huge difference in its sand driving performance, as per all my trips to fraser i did quite a bit of track clearing(stuck vehicles as per usual and some trees) Heres my fav pic of it from the trip, taken at bowardy creek on the western side of the island, we drove every bit of beach that was accessable as well as majority of the inland tracks (and then some more...)

Ive got plenty more pics and vids to post up as well, including recovery pics and vids, the most impressive was draging a discovery bogged to its diffs towing a camper over the indian head bypass...

in which pic? the rangie ones are on lavis, the ones where i have the truck flexed on the grass is nearby this end of the beach, and the ones on the big down hill are just a dune between the quad entry and the sygna, you cant actually get off the beach there. When it comes to stockton i dont think there is an entry or exit i havnt driven, ive spent alot of time out there in all my 4x4s
