      Welcome aboard! Top looking truck..

I was watching Top Gear the other night when the guys were doing their Arctic challenge. The lads had a Hilux Artic truck ute and were absolutely hammering through what was known as the polar challenge (never before had a vehicle participated in such an event)
Now this vehicle took some punishment, namely a dropped and damaged fuel tank which took out one of his shockers, bend running boards. I think it spent more time airborne then it did on snow/ice.
There might be a cheap hilux floating around somewhere

Actually here is the picture of the Hilux.

        Hi and thanks.

But i haft to corect you a bit. your inforamtion is a bit off.

This Red hilux AT 38" that whent to the magnetic pole, had all sucsess. It was tested also to the max off what any pick up could never indure. there was some smale repairs , but for this kind of expedition it was minor.
This car i have been siting in my self, it was in Norway for demonstration at a toyota dealer. There are no normal SUV build that could to this, Arctic Trucks have speent 10 years with snow experience. This red hilux whent to the http://www.arctictrucks.com/Frontpage/E ... netic-Pole
and here you guys can se the movie : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rOGmGXcR7M

But the last arctic truck expedition was the antarctica challenge with 4 hilux arctic truck on 44" tiers. they all was a sucsess. I have my selv driven one lc120 on 44" on Icland, and its the best. no problems never. her it is. 8)

And here is the Antarctica hilux.

and here you can se the film : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKyV1t9WYkM

                      Re: DID ARCTIC

Hi to all, and thanks for all remarks

Her in Norway it is much snow and ice at winter, and i like to go fishing at the summer time, with my car i can just drive right out into the lake, and fish in front off my car.
So the car fits me great. I would like to get bigger tiers. I have 35" procomp mud extreme, 12,5" wide. on 17" reems. it works good. but on snow it would be betthur with 38"...

To build my car from 35-38" it will cost me about 24.000 US

They will then move the back axel back 12cm and but on bigger fenders, and drop down the front axel. also change the gearings to 4:88. This price is also with the new tiers and reems. Haft to ship the car from Norway to Icland, so when and if i do this I will get back the tax free on all the parts used. it does cost much to live in Norway..

Big is never big, when you like offroad cars.. its a virus..

some more pic... hope you all like..

                      David.

Me out fishing. 40 minuts from where i live.

                      by the hutt.

                      where i like to drive..

No roads, no limets.. the free mountains.

Driving up the ski lift at summer time..

my next trip for next year. Marocco and down to west sahara .. 8)
