Finally, I feel I have enough done to my Prado to warrant it's own thread.
So, here goes.
My stock prado, GXL, was bought new in Dec 2008, came with protection pack, tinted front windows, paint, upholstery protection and electronic rust protection (whether it works or not).
First, was the simple set of ARB tyre deflators.
Second came the fire extinguisher, mounted under front passenger seat.
After this, I happened to be in the right place/right time and scored a Toyo Sov bar for $200.00.
After the bar went on, I HAD to get some lights, so the Lightforce Blitz 240's were added (no photo's of this), but I mounted the relay to the bolt that holds the fuel filter....
The UHF was given to me, so, great price.
Here is where I mounted it... (OK, so no photo of it actually installed) and you can see the mount point.
Then, I added a set of these... and tested them out in the Watagans..
Currently, I am installing this gear and next is the ARB compressor, Santa bought me...
Hardware is in, just need to borrow a set of crimpers from the sparky at work tomorrow...
Planning a trip with family in April/May 2011...
OK, Crimpers borrowed, and it is in. Just need to wire up the accessories..
Can the electrically minded people here check my negative termination to see if it is OK.... It all works and a multimeter shows 13.42 on the aux and 13.49 on crank..
I have one of the voltage requlator fuse things to put in as well, but I'll see how it goes for a week or so first...
