What ? No budget surplus ! what a surprise ! Another little fib Wayne ? Ahhh who cares ? The world ends tonight , but if it doesn't I'll be getting a new waterfront courtesy of the global ice melt which they have satellite records for , for an incredible whole 33 years . That's an astounding , something or other piss ant percentage of earths life . Maybe one of these genius scientists could work out that percentage for us and do something useful for a change . Bring on global warming .

No. Commissioned officers in Army reserve.

I would be a little suspicious if there is not a voted out of office clause in there. Its a basic rule for political parties and would see labour crucified on the national and international stage for many many years to come.

As I replied to ntp, my mate was adamant that the money would continue.

As we have seen and heard recently regarding certain members of the Fed. Labor Gov., nothing would surprise me. So much money has been wasted already through incompetence.

Paul Bleating (Keating) and Bob Dork (Hawke), as prime ministers, wasted plenty of money. Out of the last 17 Budgets handed down by various Federal Labor Governments, only 3 have had a surplus. Peter Costello had 9 surpluses out of his 10 Budgets.

As long as Abott is still the leader of the Liberal party the clowns currently running the show (into the ground) stand a chance of getting re elected. Now you mention Peter Costello, if they could get him to do a Campbell Newman and run for PM from outside of parliment and make Turnbull treasurer then Labor would be lucky to win a seat let alone the election.

As long as Abott is still the leader of the Liberal party the clowns currently running the show (into the ground) stand a chance of getting re elected. Now you mention Peter Costello, if they could get him to do a Campbell Newman and run for PM from outside of parliment and make Turnbull treasurer then Labor would be lucky to win a seat let alone the election.

Couldn't agree more, the biggest problem we have is WHO DO you vote for ? the thought of that clown Abbot (bigotted ,biassed, kill Labour at ANY cost toad that he IS ) running a nation sends a chill down my spine, look if that ever comes to pass will the last man to leave Australia please put the light's out ? and while we're at it , it does my nut in when they go on about this surplus, people we're NOT paying them to hoard our money, thier SUPPOSED to be spending it ,on health, education, emergency services, etc, but by the same token not squandering it like this lot either, so thats your choices, from one extreme to another and if you put them all together you still couldn't find one of them thats capable of leading a nation, and they wonder why there's a "Monster raving Looney Party " in the UK............... ???

Would be happy to have Julie Bishop as the P.M., I know, another female, but much better and more intelligent than the big red monster who voted herself into the top spot. A number of people I have spoken to recently would not like another female P.M. again (includes some female voters)

Bishop stated she would rather have the Foreign Ministers spot, not that of the Big Kahuna.

As for Malcolm Turnbull, many people around my area of southern Sydney do not want Turnbull in the top spot.

I love the moves to ban and reduce plastic bags... by offering to allow people to buy plastic bags instead, and sell even stronger (plastic bags) as an alternative.

Our supermarket used to ask you to bring your plastic bags back in, they had a big collection box at the front, and then they would put them back in to circulation. Don't know why more don't do this!
