Spotted a PP in your travels
Spotted Minh today at Kingfisher bay lining up to use the hose, great to meet you.
Spotted Richo and Stewy at Waddy Point today as well. Lucky Richo also spotted us as he did mention the Prado point fairy...
Could not ask for better weather up here, some overnight rain to fix the tracks would be great but.
Cheers Dan

"Bumped into" John (NPY) and Megan at Pipalyatjara (far NW of SA near WA/SA/NT border) today. Actually, I was in the neighbourhood - give or take a few hundred kilometres - and John invited me for a BBQ. Thanks to them for their hospitality and it was great to meet some fellow PPers as remote as they are.

Snowy mountains meeting
Funny actually was set up at 4 mile creek camp area in snowy mountains, I might be having a bald moment and have the actual campsite location wrong but bilbo120 can correct me if I'm wrong. My two kids under 4.5 years are running rampart scaring snakes away when I spy this raised Subaru outback towing a trailer being overshadowed by a stunning black 120 series Prado pull in beside us as camping space was a premium. Got chatting and Bilbo 120 introduced himself and flagged "prado point" well it went up hill from there. Checked each other's rigs and set ups. Bilbo's rig with new ARB bulbar and bash guards looked impressive you would be forgiven to think it could take a hit from an IED "improvised explosive device" in Baghdad roadside bombing in its stride!
Well we ended up chatting around a camp fire late into the night. Seriously, if any member had any questions relating to radios or UHF/satellite/HF or any other communication device Bilbo 120 has a wealth of knowledge few would have. Learnt a lot thanks Bilbo.
Well as things happened I mentioned I was going to head into Lobbs Hole ravine that was 37klm 4wd track with steep decent with a creek crossing thrown in. Jo (Subaru) and bilbo decided to come along for the adventure with Jo leaving the trailer behind. I followed bilbo and we had a ball with bilbo black rig changing colors like a chameleon to its muddy surrounds brown!
Must say it was a great chance meeting and the merits of prodo point was sung and the Prado brotherhood strengthened! Lol. It has prompted me to write my first forum entry. I look forward to catching up with Bilbo again he's a really genuine and easy guy to chat to. Cheers Bilbo!Last edited by RareSense; 02-01-2014, 01:59 PM.

Wow Ken i just come across this post that you for your words there mate we had a ball and i was shocked another pradopointer out doing what prados should be doing lol i have to say this site is awesome it a common thread for us prado owners and wow i was amazed at raresense set up the rooftop tent that had 4 ppl in 2 adults and 2 lil ones but the exchange of ideas looking and what raresense had has me thinking what i can do on my 120 with the rooftop setup the awning and the hot water setup for showers or a cup of tea was really amzing to see just what a lil imagination can do, we had a ball tackled the Revine "lobs Hole" track with ease and the back out of having someone else alonge if anything turned pear shape but prados won the day along the the odd subee not a bad set up for a subaru i sure raresense would agree lol was a great trip and meeting a fellow pradopointer was iceing on the cake we had a ball talking around the campfire just as it should be when camping wonderful people in wonderful locations and i never thought being a Amateur Radio guy would come in handy in just talking i hope i had some usefull advise to give, but how great to meet up with people that have the same passion for getting out and enjoying the great outdoors the snowys are a great start as i only new to this only having my prado for just on a year but nthats why i got one to get out there and enjoy the bush and meeting up with great folks is really cream on the cake thanks RareSense
