Bump... gees this thread is moving slow of late :?
I think us Sandgropers are stumped. The trees look similar to those found all along Ningaloo coast, Warroora, Quobba and down to Carnarvon area, but cant narrow it down any more than that.
:?
Sorry - I've also been south since Friday for a very long weekend. Even got tangled up with the whale stranding at Hamelin Bay- a very emotional experience. I couldn't stay long as I didn't have a wet suit. Was still in the water for an hour or so as I was there before many other people got there.
I thought this one could have been hard. Since no one really has a great idea - I'll give it to Daz. It's Quobba Station - Smithies Shack. They've done it up over the last couple of years - not a bad place to go...

Good work Violet. Everyone loves the whales
I was involved in the couple of rescues in the mid - late 80s at Augusta when I worked for CALM. Never forget it, and there is a nice section in the Augusta Museum dedicated to it.
And then my kids were at the one a couple of years back in Busso.

Over to you Daz
Is Smithys shack at the Quobba point, or is it up the coast towards Gnarloo?
Anyway, this shouldnt take long. This big tree has a name.......
I would say it is Diamond Tree, just south of Manjimup. Not the other famous one.
