Thats the one Mick - Arkaroola. We had a great trip to the Flinders Ranges with the local 4WD Club. Such an interesting and different place.

Not a commonly visited area, bit off the beaten track but I'm sure people on here would have been there..

Yes -- -got it.
This northern area of Carnarvon NP is not nearly as popular as the Gorge, ( therefore not the crowds yippee ), but well worth a visit.
We had the camping area to ourselves - bliss.
Quite an eerie landscape that could be "Lord of the Rings" world.
Oh BTW i see the river crossing to the Spyglass Peak and Sentinel areas is currently closed, so it's a 5K walk from the camping ground. :cry:Cheers, WayneComment
