From Google Earth looking at Gosses Bluff is interesting...the size of the impact feature is a lot larger than the bluff you can see above ground these days......there is a clear impact feature for a large distance around the bluff as well....
Ormiston and glen helen are in the top RH corner of the top pic. Looks like it came in from the RH top corner as well ie. from the NE.
