Skytrek is an interesting loop isnt it Dobbo. Did you do the detour to Skull Rock :?:
Memories......................looking at this photo, my young fella was the last in our group of about 20 kids to get gastro while we were all camped up that way, he looks buggered after the short walk to this spot.
Lofty, we didn't manage to get to Skull Rock. By the time we got to the turn off, my missus had shaken all the buttons off her shirt and chipped her crowns(just joking) but she and the daughter had seen enough. The temp on the day was around 33 degrees.
We all loved it though, the Flinders is really spectacular and we will have to go back and explore it some more one day. I' like a dollar for every goat that we saw.
"oh no, not Muzza again" the board groans..or at least the few who follow this thread.
I have been around Rawnsley but not on top.....once I went on a bush walk near the bluff and tripped on a rock and tumbled down the track before finally disappearing off the track into a creek bed.....I landed heavily on some rocks and injured my knee and pride...I was really badly winded and was limping for weeks. As I tumbled I kept my camera in the air and it never suffered a knock....but I did. Great country anyway...I love the Flinders...bit like the Stirling Ranges in some ways...though the Stirlings are a lot less extensive and less rugged.
Thanks Lofty for some great pics....
Here is another mystery spot....
