It's no good. I'm stumped. Too many salt lakes in SA for a non local to try and guess it. Added to that there are a number of repeater stations near salt lakes. I found an online map of repeater stations in SA but of course so many could fit the bill. Really, the only positional clue is the rolling type hills. Not ever having been in SA I really don't know.

It's well south of Coober Pedy.
The red rock is Rhyolite, and it makes quite a clinking sound around the lake as you walk over broken pieces of it, rather like the sound of broken floortiles.
I can give more clues as to which lake it is, but they are very specific and will give it away in a flash. Likewise the repeater channel.

I'm told that one difference between this lake and Lake Eyre is that there is no outflow on this lake. Sounds likely, as it doesn't have a history of big flooding. When you find out where it is, you have to add it to your trip lists. It's a great spot and the station people are great. Friendly and responsible, which is just the treatment required for the land and the visitors.
The track upto the top is pretty rough with lots of small boulders, shelves and stuff. We stopped a hundred metres or so from the top and walked because we were getting worried about the tyres on the hire hilux. Station owner has one of those patrols with the height adjustable suspension, and he reckons it goes up there like it was on the freeway. haha.
The mountain behind the station (not the one we are trying to guess) shares it's name with a mountain in the Flinders. I don't think that will help you though, because I haven't seen it's name on any maps yet...
