Now (well 4 months ago), quite a good road. Probably OK for 2WD. I probably did it at 60km/hr - but I was in a rush to get back to Timber Creek before night. Yes - I agree, interesting spot - as was Bullita Station...
A few years ago it held the 'record' for the most number of deaths on it compared to any other shore fishing spot in Australia. While the 'memorial' near it says 3 people have lost their lives here, I think that it doesn't include several from many years ago. I had thought the number was more than 10 - but I'm not sure. MANY near misses.
A really scary spot with a sloping rock at your back where the waves come from. Even in very calm days I am very nervous here. Fished it once - never again. I only take people here to show them the spot and explain why it is so dangerous.

Yeah, I have watched guys fishing from here, offshore wind good for ballooning, but the huge swell is the danger here. Very unforgiving if swept away, and help is hrs away......
