I am at Noosa North Shore and spoke to some people affected by it. Pretty scary and some lost caravans and 4WDs unfortunately.
Does surprise me though, I never liked camping there because it's so fragile that peninsular.-=2014 GXL D4D Auto Graphite, Firestone Airbags, ARB/Optima D34 Dual Battery, ARB UVP, TJM Airtech Snorkel=-

We're due to go back there next month. I don't mind Inskip as you only need to pay your camping fees and not for any particular site and it's so big with plenty of space to choose from and no beach driving permits needed. Might have to rethink our plans.Cheers Jim.

geo tech was saying it was to do with offshore sand sliding away and therefore the sand on top eventually goes, kinda like when you play at the bottom of a sand dune, and it slides away from the bottom and then sand at the top slides with it. reverse avalanche in theory.
everyone included myself will continue to go, nice spot, convenient to SE QLD!
bring on the danger!
