With a Federal Election about to be called tomorrow, I thought I'd get in early by starting a dedicated thread for political comment, rants and spin doctoring on all the election advertising, policy announcements and rhetoric that's about to fly.

Nothing you can do, loose or loose.
People really get upset about politics.

It's time they started fixing things, rather than spinning fluff & gue to suck people in for votes.

The country is stuffed. So go & focus on the positive things you have left, family, friends, good times and of corse the Prado. Make the most of it.

Personally being SICK to the back teeth with BOTH their blatant lying I'm now going to vote Australian Alliance party, One Nation tendencies but the most common sense I've heard so far have a look at their web site and give us your thoughts................
BTW for me its nothing to do with anything but running this country they simply couldn't do any worse than what we've got .

The poll question is specifically around who you think will win - not who you might vote for. This was intentional.

The question is posed this way as there are only two realistic outcomes for Government at this time: Liberal or Labor.

Most of you (if not all of you) are lucky enough to not have Sophie Mirabella as a candidate for your electorate. There are many things one could say about her, but it needs to be after 10pm, and carry an R rating.
her campaigning in the area started long before the election was called (which I think is against the rules, but rules are non existant for Sophie.)

I'm hoping our current independant gets to keep her seat.

To close to call. Malcolm had a good popularity lead until he tripped over himself by refusing to give figures from his own budget. Suddenly a bunch realised the bleeding obvious - he's just like every other politician. There for his own agenda and personal gain.

Its about time these thieving scum get a paycut. Including cessation of benefits after they are out of office. Not a bad rort if you can get it.

VOTE 1 Population Control Party.

About half the number of people in the world would solve a lot of problems. Why we have to be suckered into a "Bigger Australia" policy and never ending economic growth (which is unsustainable in the long term) is beyond me.
