Didn't tick me off but I think the Esperance Nissan dealer was a bit ticked off when they took the brand new V8 Patrool for a test run down at 11 mile. Couple of fishos in an old Landcruiser ute snatched it out. Didn't have my camera for that one, bugger.

Eleven mile can be a bit tricky. Lost count the number of times I have snatched people out of there , fourteen mile and also roses.
Still stinking hot here in Thailand and now is the most busiest time of the year ,,,Songkran... its like their new year. Traffic is a nightmare... full of drunks. Smoked up the Pajero today trying to avoid a lunitic.

I was in Bunnings earlier (with a gift card burning a hole in my pocket) and spotted the Kincrome Telescopic Pick-up Tool with LED light. It looked like a good addition to the tool box so I got one (only $10).

It doesn't come with instructions but how hard can it be? I fitted the three batteries but can't find any way to turn it on. I've checked the batteries and they are fine but how do you turn the damn thing on?

Is it the one that looks like a pen? Does it click on with the button/clip on the top perhaps? If all else fails give Kinchrome in Scoresby, Vic a call on 1300 657 528.

It is the one that looks like a pen but the clip at the top is just held on with a screw - no buttons.

Does it twist on?
Some Dr. type pen lights do twist, though most have some sort of button thingamajig

The smaller Maglites work that way but no, this one doesn't seem to but it does look to be the only way you could turn it on.

Try squeezing the clip on to the body of the pen light?

I removed the clip - it's just held on by a single screw and there is nothing there that could act as a button.

I'm beginning to wonder if it is the twist on type but defective - I think I wll just take it back.

Yes, it is and yes, it does - but only if you put the batteries in the other way round Thanks Wooley.

I had tried the batteries in both ways but obviously didn't extend it both ways ops:

ACT motorists 'shouldn't hold out' for better fuel prices

The price of petrol in Canberra was more than 25 cents higher than in Melbourne, and close to 25 cents higher than in Sydney over the past week, according to the latest fuel price update.While price falls of 10 cents in Sydney to 130.8 cents a litre, and almost 6 cents in Melbourne to 128.1 cents contributed to another national slide of 3.6 cents to an average price of 137.9 cents, Canberra’s fuel remained steady, dropping just 0.2 cents to 154.0 cents per litre – the second most expensive capital city in the country.
