And guess who gets to go and clean up the scene Hard to feel sorry for the victim as thats one less drug head on the streets!
Cheers Andrew
Holy crap!
And here I am complaining about scratches on the walls and weeds in gardens!!!
Cleaning up a murder scene is definitely something that never came to mind when I became a landlord...
Does that warrant instant eviction?
I mean for the surviving tenant not the dead one. Lol!
Possibly. You would need to discuss this with the victim support officer at your local courthouse.

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.
There should be a contractor that will clean the mess at public expense - check with your local Law Enforcement Agency.
You are correct Dave, not sure about the Riverland but had a company called Steamatic clean up water damaged carpet etc. last year.
These Guys said that they do the odd decomp clean ups, as well as murder scenes. Stuff that for a job.
Good luck Andrew
I spoke to one of the local boys in blue this morning and the crime scene is apparantly not too bad, the rest of the place is probably going to be more work than I care to think about.
As for the surviving tennant who was actually the only one on the lease (the girl) well she was already on her last legs due to be way behind in rent so yeah its all over for her. Typical of the way the system works though, she still has rights and we seem to have none, we need to pay to get a hearing with the tribunal so we can get access to our own property, the fact that she is way behind in rent and is locked up on a murder charge doesn't count for anything!
Anyway, clean it up and this one is going on the market, sick of bloody tennants (pardon the pun)
Cheers Andrew

AJ. Seems the courts will arrange new lodgings for her. Something simple, painted a light pink and with free laundering services thrown in. You should claim all possessions under a warehouse-man's lien, sell them and use that money and the bond to have the chalk marks and blood removed from the living room etc.
You may also be able to claim any shortfall under the victims of crime legislation.

It should be going to the tribunal today, real estate agent is handling all that and they have applied for possession of the contents, don't know what the chances are of that. If we don't get get possession then as landlords it's our responsibility to store everything at our expense for 90 days. It has to be secure and we need to make it available to the tenant or their proxy, so no way we are storing it our house, so we would have to rent a storage unit.
Only heard on the news the other day a do gooder whining about how there is no rental properties for low income earners........ Gee I wonder why!
Might get access tomorrow to assess the damage.
Cheers Andrew

All shit stirring aside AJ, I (we, being the better half and Lea) feel for you. If its bad maybe a busy bee may be in order. There are a heap of SA members that would love the convoy up and opportunity to show off their skills. despite your irrelevant posts and general obnoxious behaviour I think I can call on the great contributions I have made to rally some support to come to your aid.

Eviction isn't an issue, all 3 are currently being provided accomodation of one sort or another for the foreseable future, its just getting legal access to the house and what to do with the contents. Didn't get any answers today so will see what tomorrow brings.
Thanks for the offer Rob, I will keep that in mind.
Cheers Andrew
