Daniel, if you don't have any luck soon my old neighbour has just gone solo (as an electrician) and works closely with an AC mob. He's done our house and more recently our new studio fitout.

Having the same issues at the moment with our rental property, need 2 x new AC's that we get told are broken (3 months after they broke down mind you) and still waiting for the quotes from Friday week a go... Close to 8 grand to replace them both (both under fusion in our insurance so its a guaranteed job for him), 3 calls to his mobile, 2 to his office and an email with the claim number, still nothing...

Rentals... sexism,
Applying for one. First have to find something suitable. location, yard size, features, pet friendly. Then you have to apply. Then things get hard. All our references called (all glowing recommendations.) Our current real estate also gave us a glowing recommendation, that must count for somthing. I asked our neighbor (who i didn't bribe) for just a pice of paper saying the dog didn't bark. (got 2 pages back saying how her and her husband prefer us even to when the owners of our houses were in it, the lawn is always nice, cars always washed and parked in the driveway go nice and slow on the street. Hardly even know the dog is there.)
My partner and I (me 20 he 22) Both men, Yes we are gay. I drive slashing tractors and trucks, Scott my partner is an assistant Manager of a Major brand tyre fitting shop, Both fairly manly and well paying jobs. Owner rejects us on our age. We respond saying we want a nice family house no parties just a house for a couple and there dog. get a response don't want such a large/heavy vehicle at the house. ( I don't remember the Prado being a semie.) We respond saying the Prado is no bigger than the current residents ford territory.
the final response from the owner. Not comfortable with a homosexual couple in the house.
Didn't bother replying but what.... Was I going to paint the house rainbows and hold mardi gra on the lawn?

I respect his right to have say over who he has in his house. But I thought that australia was past this..

Now to continue rental searching.

This sort of thing really gets me going... why don't you call the agent back to see if the agent and landlord are available for a media interview on sexual discrimintation?
Mention ACA or TT perhaps...

SUCKS big time! And there's not much you can do, which makes it worse. You could probably fight it but do you want a landlord that behaves and thinks like this? Pass them over as ignorant scum bags and keep looking. Good luck!

When the flogger next to your campsite at Jim Jim Billabong comes over at 5.30pm to say "I hope that generator isn't going to be going for much longer. Ah that brings back memories of camping with my siblings and their families at Eden (NSW) one year. Some tosser decides to set up his tent right next to our army camp (there was at least 20 of us) then comes over the next night asking if we were going to be quiet tonight or did he have to move his tent. A couple of our lads offered to help him shift it LOL, don't think he was amused. Same idiot was going to bed at 6:30 pm at night and expecting us not to make any noise after that, good luck with that one mate, we're on holidays!

What ticks me off big time is when PP members give good feedback on a supplier and you base your purchase on that recommendation only to find the supplier is a complete and utter twat and that basically calls you a moron via email as not having the skills to perform said install.

Suffice to say it is the first and last purchase i will ever make from that supplier.

And no i will not name the supplier in here as i do not want to start a flaming session.
