Possible - As kids we used to put strange valve caps on our BMX's - friend had a bullet, another had dice etc

Steve that is the first I have heard of that. Sure it didn't fall off? With the tyredogs on the 120 I used the security nut things but they were a pain if I went on the beach at a whim and air down so the last time they came off they remained off. Didn't even bother with the new system thing.
Fitted a Kaymar rear door light bracket/ wheel spacer to the rear door two weeks ago and ever since then there has been a rattle at the back door area and for the life of me could not find where it was coming from. In frustration on the weekend I removed the bracket and had nothing at all on the back door and went for a drive. Bloody noise was still there.
Thinking I would have to pull the inside of the door off I set about the task but did notice the cover over the tools on the rear door was undone on one corner but couldn't get it to do up so opened it up and a screw from the jack handle fell.
Screwed the screw in and the rattle was gone. Such a small thing caused so much work.

LOL! - Clearly not funny for you, obviously many hours work and I absolutely hate rattles so I feel your pain. Just that your story reminded me of that supercheap auto TV add where that bloke absolutely pulls his commodore apart only to find the rattle was a pair of earings in the ashtray.

Aus Post tracking - bought an item from someone in Vic, posted on 21st Aug with tracking. It's now 26th and the tracking site says "Accepted from customer 21/08/13 13:05". Would have thought something more should have happened by now
Sorry VK but like The Alberto I know your pain lol. I hate friggn rattles with a passion especially when I don't know where it's coming from. At least you didn't end up pulling the whole rear door apart lol that would have pissed you off.... Cheers Steve

AusPost tracking IS woeful. I send product all over the country using Aust Post ( only because they're cheap & convenient) and the item is generally scanned when I hand it over and will rarely be scanned until it lands with the driver at the B end. Nothing in between. So their tracking is pretty much NFG. Doesn't help the receiver who's been waiting for goods on the other side of the country I.e. WaitAwhile, who wants to chase the progress of a delivery...

I dunno, more likely someone who has lost one of theirs. I can't even leave the hose fitting on my tap anymore, someone always pinches it.
My parents used to live in Redcliffe, QLD. Over a two or three year period, theft of items from peoples verandahs was so rampant they decided to try another tack. When ever they wanted to get rid of something, they put it on the front verandah. Sometimes my mother put pot plants on said items. It saved them many trips to the dump. The best was using this method to dispose of a dead beer fridge. True story.

That's pretty sad but funny at the same time. I came home one day to find my Buddha statue stolen from my front step, I was not trying to get rid of him either. I just hope the thief got bad Karma as a result, after all this was Buddha we are talking about. I felt silly reporting it to the cops but thought he might turn up in a neighbour's yard and hopefully not through their front window.
