We have an explosion of young grey native Mynah bird chicks just out of the nest at the moment, and from daylight to dusk all you can hear is the incessant chirping of the young birds following their parents around, begging to be fed.
There are literally hundreds of them and the combined noise is driving us nuts :x
I'd like to get a slug gun and thin a few out of them out but we live next door to a NPWS ranger and he probably wouldn't see the funny side of it.

Just invest in a cat. I had some baby birds living in my roof about a month ago and all day and night they were carrying on, so one day while I was at work I decided that when I got home I was going to put my 2 cats in the roof to sort them out as I couldnt get to the birds myself because they were right in the corner of the roof on the second story, lucky for the birds that while I was at work they decided to move on from my house to somewhere else, so I never got to get my cats onto them :lol:

I like cats but I couldn't eat a full one :P but I'm sure my 2 catlle dogs could :mrgreen:
Hopefully when the neighbors Jacaranda stops flowering the birds might move further afield.

Hopefully the bite won't get infected. Over the years I have seen a few human bites on people - believe it or not, these are much, much worse than dog bites, especially from an infection point of view!

BPC ~ I am not sure of the make of dog, but it was big and had a good set of teeth. Luckily it only got me with its front set of teeth and not its large canines, and only on my lower leg just below my knee near my shin, and not on my calf muscle. You're right though... thank God it wasn't a young child walking by at the time otherwise the outcome might have been much worse. I don't know why some people feel the need to bring their animals to public places and then leave them unattended.

I am sick of people who think a 4wd should be treated like shit, that a 4wd owner should not look after their car, or even wash it.

Since installing my UHF radio a few months ago, I occasionally turn it on when going to and from work and I am constantly appalled by the number of low life, sub intelligent bottom feeders whose only contribution is to swear, threaten, taunt, make sexual suggestions to both male and female operators, or conduct a minute by minute daily account of their sad psychopathic life.
There are many hard working drivers and such out there who use the airwaves to go about their daily business and who are no doubt well and truly over these knuckle dragging boil suckers.
I hope that someone will one day invent a super radio that can transmit a gazillion watts of power back down the micrphone of these Ansell Escapee's radio set and melt their lips back onto the few remaining teeth that they may have left:twisted:

I think its time to move away from the city Dobbo. I only bother withit in the city if the traffic is excessively slow.

Ever since they removed the licence for UHF heaps of drongos have them, it is made worse now buy anyone being able to make a cheap toy handheld in the UHF band whereas previously the AM CB copped this noise.

The amount of violations of people using and broadcasting just crap on emergency channels seems to go unpoliced ?

When the traffic is sooooooo banked up and I need to merge from the left hand lane over to the middle lane but not one single person will let me in.
Then I find a spot to merge infront of another prado that has left "at least" 3 car spaces between them and the car infront of them so I speed up to get in (mind you the traffic is crawling) and they decide to quickly speed up to not let me in!! :evil:

They clearly werent from Prado Point because I'm sure if they were I would have felt the love. :roll: :lol:

had a similar thing on the way into the city the other day, crawling along at 10k's max, big open gap in the lane on my right and i merged accross with at least a car length to spare and was followed up with a landcruiser hemorrhoid, flashing lights, waving arms, he even pulled into the left lane, went past me waiving his arms and then pulled into the gap in front of me! obviously having a good day!
