            • Some days you just want to buy a gun

Just went out to the local shops for some items for the wife ( in my work truck )

I was out for no more than 15 minutes and came back to find the back of my Prado had been spray painted or "tagged" as the police called it.

As you could imagine I am a fairly unhappy camper and the wife steered me to the computer room to cool off after doing the patrol of the streets in the 100 series cruiser with multiple HID up front......I would have ended up in jail if I had of caught them!!!!!!!!

So here I am on the net browsing and where does it lead me too!!!!!! Guns and ammo

I am thinking lightweight, quick reload ability and rocksalt...........

              Little pricks......thats my vent done

Smart wife, I hope it cleans up ok or will it be a repaint? Have you reported it to the police? If it is a signature tag they may get the person at a later date

I can only imagine how you feel and I don't think a gun is the answer.

A baseball bat is more appropiate as there is no need to reload

Happened to me once many years ago (in the city). I managed to get out some polish and got it off before it dried. If you get to it quickly, it may come off.

Got it off with some Prepsol - and polish

It looked like some sort of line marking / stencil marking spray.

It was all over the hard wheel cover and a bit on the door around the number plate - so I told the wife it didnt matter as the wheel cover had to go next month when I get my new tyres put on!!!!!!!!!!

Still it is frustrating to think that the kids cant find anything else to do!!!!! Now when I was a kid................................

And the local police man just told me I should hurt them.......too much 8) 8)

The wife and I were home with the flu a few weeks ago. About 2pm the wife screams at the top of her lungs some words to the effect of 'f!@k off you little pr!cks' then yells to me there are kids tagging our fence. In my tracksuit pants, windcheater and no shoes I bolt out the front door and run after them. Well thank god for childhood obesity as after about 400 metres I caught one of them and marched him back to our house. They ended up only being 12 so I made them call their parent's who promptly came over very apologetic. The kids came back on the weekend and I watched them repaint my fence as I had some spare paint. They won't be doing that again. My wife still can't believe I chased down 12 year olds

Yes, had a similar thing happen about 16 yrs ago in Sydney; my brother had just bought a new Mercedes , he had it parked out the front of his place and when we came out to go to the airport we caught some little b@#!tard tagging the drivers door. This being a while ago, we were young and fit (no chance of doing that now I think) and ran him down.

We called the police and waited for around 10 minutes, with no coppers in sight we decided to demonsrate the incredible build quality of the Mercedes by showing just how good the doors close, even with your (well his actually) fingers jammed in them.

The coppers finally arrived and asked us was there any truth in his outrageous claims of assault; we of course denied it and that was it. Nothing further heard. I doubt he'll try that kind of thing again (plus it's hard to use a spray can wth broken fingers).

Feel for you! One day someone'll do it to them (if they ever get anywhere in life) and they'll wonder why!

I slightly understand kids wanting to leave their mark on a fence or something (even if it is plain stupid etc etc) but on a car they know it's gonna be taken off within days at the most. They're simply trying to be a nuisance to the owners. IMO it's these ones that deserve the baseball bat or fingers in the door more!
