i will agree with you there dylan thats not a bad rate but when it comes to hiring a dingo for a day they charge about $250 for 8 hours, if ya ask me thats pretty rude but thats just my opinion. cheers samohad an 03 gx 120 with some gear now got a 2013 bt 50 GT auto some ARB gear.Comment

Okay I had a win with Toyota and they are replacing the housing under warranty, that's the good news. The bad news is there is only one in existance and it is in Japan so it is being shipped from there to the dealership, they are telling me about 3 weeks for it to arrive. :roll: So I am going to get a temp fix done to try and stop the leak tomorrow.Roll on the 2010 Pradopoint GTG

My story is about "Things that tip you off..."
Finally started on the extension lean too on the side of the shed. Up on the big step ladder, and then it bucked me off...........

The hotmix driveway was pretty unforgiving on the left butt cheek and elbow, and back of knee ended up coming down on the sharpest part of the tangled ladder.
Man, I have some wicked bruises coming thru, and some missing skin, but nothing broken, except my pride.
Have tried the sympathy pleas with rest of family but have only managed to raise some sarcastic mirth, and a couple of oooos and ahhhhs from the kids........ :roll:Cheers

Booked my Prado in for the transfer case housing to be replaced today, the car was the first one there this morning and I gave them till 16:30 today. Went there about 1500 to see how things were going and was told it would be ready by 16:00, great no problem. I went home to receive a call from them saying that they had struck some problems and now it wont be ready till tomorrow midday at the earliest as they now have to drop the transmission. :?: :?: :?: Now it makes me wonder what they have broken in the process of replacing the transfer case housing? I have a bad feeling that this is going to get worse before it gets better as I have had problems before with other cars that have been damaged by this place and I am not the only one.Roll on the 2010 Pradopoint GTG

Yeah tellme about it, however this time it was not a fault of the car but the service mechanic working on it that caused the transfer case crack. Now I have a suspiscion that they have broken something else and that is why they have kept the car for another day, I just hope that I get it back today as I may need it to drive to Sydney in the next day or two. A fair suspicion Mav... but another likely reason might simply just be their poor service standards. If it's the place I'm thinking of, they promise big but regularly fail to deliver on their promise; they have all the mod cons out front and look the part, but behind the workshop walls it's a different story.Originally posted by mav

The one and only place David. I just picked it up and there is something not right when I have it in park or neutral and rev it I get a metallic clank sound and the turbo induction noise sounds a bit strange too. Looks like they gave it a good off road test by the looks of the tyres. I guess I can only hope to get it checked over down south. I should thank my lucky stars they did not give it out as a loan car which is what they did to a friends car they had a while back, he saw it driving around town with a woman at the wheel. He approached her and asked what she was doing with his car and she said it was the loan car she had been given. :shock: That and the using parts off the car to fix another car they had in the shop equates to the similar thing that I have experienced with previous cars that I had taken there.Originally posted by ntpryceRoll on the 2010 Pradopoint GTG
