better still it should be written in every 4wd manual sold with 4wds and printed on the BS on the visors about 4wding

or better still on a label on every towbar sold and fiitted and retro fitted to all as part of re-rego checks. wont prevent all of these incidents but may help stop a few more

I get a call today saying my intelligent 15 yo son did a silly thing. He sent a message to himself from his teachers phone thereby acquiring the teachers phone number. Funny but silly and no crime yet committed.
Then he rings the teacher during class and hangs up just before the teacher picks up. Haha, funny but dumb because he has now left a footprint for the teacher to trace who rang, subject of course the to intelligence of the teacher. Still, no harm done and at best he is up for a slap on the wrist.

Now comes the really dumb bt. After much pleading he gives the number to a mate. Not any mate, the one who is a brain cell short of an amoeba. This one celled wonder rings the teacher and makes a bomb threat. Yes thats right a bomb threat during school hours........

Along come the cops, the bomb squad, the F$%king FBI, CIA, Anti terrorist group, Mother f%^king Teresa, the whole kit and caboodle. Kids evacuated from the entire school etc etc.

Now call me over analytic, but in stead of closing the school for 5 hours, wouldn't someone just check the F$%king number with Telstra? Easy to trace to the little shit right? But no, everyone is inconvenienced, the school combed for bombs, parcels, flick knives, drugs, mosquitoes and anything else that should not be there.

And why am pissed off, because my son gets expelled because he got the number. OK, hope that teacher who should have his phone off and in a safe place meets my bull bar or I get the opportunity to shove it where the light don't shine.

I know my young fella deserves what he gets, nevertheless, after I stopped laughing at the utter stupidity of this situation, I think he got it a little harsh, but I'm biased I guess.

Finally, to quote my favourite saying, someone should blow up teachers!

This reminds me of an incident when i was in primary school. Ours had upper and lower primary areas and one particular day two upper primary boys were in the lower primary area and subsequently told off by a teacher. Anyway they must have been a 'bit' pi$$ed off with her because instead of going back to class after lunch, they went and set her car on fire!!! Needless to say, they got expelled :shock: There are two names i have never forgotten

He has had the fear of God instilled by me. I applied (very loosely) the concept of contributory negligence to his (my sons) actions. He is not feeling very proud of himself and upset by what has transpired. Reality is he is a great kid and does not want for any more friends. If he gains popularity from what happened he will keep those cards close to his chest because he knows I will just come down on him like the choppers in Apocalipse Now.

Mummy has grounded him for 3 weeks also.
