  • Another traffic light one that bugs me is when you are sitting at a controlled right turn. Green arrow and everyone goes.. good. Arrow turns red and everyone stops.. no problem. Then, when the red arrow disappears (as what happens at most controlled lights) and the stupid moron in the car in front of me that doesn't move into the intersection. When the red arrow disappears, the right turn defaults to a normal non controlled (by arrows) intersection. So, when the red arrow disappears, move into the intersection to complete the right turn when safe to do so. What happens when these people need to turn right at a non arrow controlled intersection? Do they sit behind the white line and wait for, ooohhh, i don't know, the bull bar behind them to push them around???
It doesn't actually happen all the time, but when it does AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH

    • My pet gripe is on my way to work. I am sitting at a set of lights which has just enough room for two cars side by side. No room to have two cars to go straight ahead but ok if the right hand car is turning right or the left hand car is turning left as long as you aren't directly behind. So you pull up behind some mental midget in the right lane waiting to go across the intersection. The light turns green and his right indicator suddenly, miraculously starts working when the traffic from the other side begins to flow across the intersection. So you sit there and wait until the light goes yellow and the idiot drives through a red to turn right. Meanwhile the rest of us are stuck behind for another phase of lights. What is so hard about letting me know you are turning right BEFORE the lights go green?

      • Getting home from work to find some disadvantaged person has kicked in the front door and stolen my laptop, new camera, flat screen TV, jewellry and a wedding present we have been keeping for our daughter's upcoming wedding as well as trashing our bedroom.

I hope the the aforesaid disadvantaged person connects the PC to the internet and manages to get past the login password. I have a tracker on it that will take his "expletive deleted" photo (send it to me) and records his position.

        Shucks..

p.s. Sorry to have upset anyones sensibilities. Hope it never happens to you.

correct, they finally agreed that 100km/h without a window is uncomfortable.

Must be a thing about P-platers in Hilux's. Few weeks back, I saw a P-plated Hilux with a driver who just couldn't wait. Instead of just sitting behind the two vehicles ahead of him in the right-hand turning lane, he abruptly pulled out left and then cut across those in the turning lane to go right - against a red arrow. Pity I saw this in my rear-view mirror - I'd have chased him down for his rego if I wasn't dropping the kids to school, and dobbed him in on the police "dob-in-a-dickhead" line.

                    • When someone desides that becaus you have a bulbar and are parked near the door of the shopping center, they can CHAIN (not rope or lead. its actually steel chain) there dog to the bullbar of your car and when you return to the car there is
                      1) A group of people that go off at you for leaving your dog chained there in the sun without water
                      2) TWO fines on your window for having the dog there, and another for its mess on the side walk
                      3) the DEEP scratches in my new bullbar.
                      4) the foglights and indicator wiring chewed from behind the bulbar

waited for the owner to come out 40min later (did he not think that i might return to my car while he was in the shop)
called the fine's lady over to cancel my fines and rewrite them for him and asked for his insurance details to get my bulbar fixed he said he didn't have that type of insurance, so he went to an ATM to get 500 out for me (probably only cause the cops had coincidentally pulled up at moments after he came out the door and were watching me arguing with him.

                          • Kalgoorlie is hosting the RV and Motorhome get-together 2011. They reckon there's anywhere upwards of 800 RVs full of grey and blue-rinsed nomads in town. My beef? The buggers drive like, well, old farts in Volvos with the bowling hats on the parcel shelf. OK, I know most of them are in their twilight years and staring down the barrel of a discount funeral but jeezuz do they have to meander around the place looking for the closest parking space next to Woolies where they can park their 75 foot motor barge winnerbloodyfuego with it's zoozooki micro fourby attached by an a frame? One even tried to convince me that the $500,000 5th wheeler they were hauling behind their chopped and lengthened Transit flat-bed ute was the only way to go. He wasn't impressed when I said it was useless because it didn't have 4WD and probably had a top speed of 50km/hr. He reckoned the 350 litre diesel fuel tank could get him halfway across Australia. I said yes, sure but then he would have to park up for half a dozen pension paydays until he could afford to refuel the bugger. Only joking folks. Good on them for getting out there and enjoying good old Australia instead of holidaying in Bali.

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.

tempting but then i would still have a bulbar scratched to buggery and no drivers side foglight and indicators
